Worship Director
Involvements:

I grew up going to church (in Maple Grove, MN!) with my family, and made Substance my church home after high school graduation. During high school Pastor Peter visited my school, and I remember being moved by what he said and really enjoying how he communicated his message.  Now Substance is my big family, full of awesome people; I have more friends now than I’ve ever had in my life!

My lifelong enthusiasm for worship ministry started when I was really young.  My parents were Worship Pastors at a church in Minneapolis, and I’ve been a part of ministry ever since.  I went to school in Colorado Springs, CO and worked and led worship at New Life Church before coming back to the Twin Cities. I also love writing worship songs and am looking forward to songwriting with my team.

Missions are a huge passion of mine; my faith became a real and serious thing for me the summer I spent in Africa visiting orphanages, college campuses and churches.  My life was forever changed by the people there.  One night I woke up at 4am to some of the people in the village worshipping (their morning routine) and singing "I Surrender All." The girls on my team and I wept at the thought of them singing those words. They have NOTHING, yet they were still singing "I surrender ALL." It changed me.

I can’t spend enough time just hanging out with my family.  I have the BEST family in the world!  I love how much fun we have together!  I also LOVE to travel.  My favorite place to visit is Napa Valley, CA and my dream destinations are Sydney, Australia and Israel.  Little known fact about me: I am very interested in natural disasters and anything related to the weather.

Most of all, I love helping people worship!  Being a part of the Substance Worship team is a dream come true and knowing God chose me to help bring people into His presence is the coolest thing!
I am honored to be Director of Substance Worship, and just love the fact that my job is doing just that.  Eugene Peterson says "Worship doesn't satisfy our hunger, it intensifies our hunger for God." I look forward to continuing a journey with our congregation to know more of God, worshipping to intensify our hunger for Jesus! I'm so excited!
