Your First Visit

Welcome to Substance KIDS! We are so excited to meet your family on your first Sunday with us! Our team of trained, background-checked leaders will greet you and your kids and make sure your family is set up for a successful time with us.

Upon arrival, you will register your kids with us OR you can fill out the new family check-in form online to save a few minutes! Our team will get you registered, ask about any allergies or special needs your child may have, and get your contact information.

After you check in, you and your child will both get a sticker with a matching code that will be used for pick up time. If for any reason we need to reach you during the service, we will text you with the number you provide at check in. The KIDS Experience

The Substance KIDS experience is for kids ages 6-weeks through 5th grade, and our values across all ages are the same: LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS. DO YOUR BEST. HAVE FUN!

In order to accomplish that, we provide tailor-made, Biblical experiences that are fun and engaging for every stage of development!

NURSERY-TODDLER At this stage of development, kids are still very attached to their caregivers, and rightly so! You're the best person in the world! Our nursery and toddler leaders therefore know how to be attentive to your family's needs. If your child needs a little extra love on a Sunday, we will text you, so make sure to have your cell phone near you during service.

PRESCHOOL-KINDERGARTEN Kids ages 4-6 start to branch away from their caregivers as they try to make friends. Our PreK/K leaders know how to help kids connect with each other and to the lesson through worship, games, crafts, and more! ELEMENTARY (1st - 5th) First through fifth graders really start to assert their independence, as friends become even more important. Elementary kids begin asking bigger questions about life and faith, so our elementary leaders are trained to answer them and provide meaningful connections to the Bible through worship, Scripture memorization, and more! FAQs

How do I know my KIDS are safe?

We want all our families to feel welcomed and SAFE at Substance. All adults must be background checked to serve within KIDS spaces. To ensure a safe pick-up process, all families are given a unique alphanumeric code on their name tags each Sunday. Adults must present their pick-up sticker to enter the KIDS areas after service, and the code must match their child's name tag to pick up a child from their classroom. When do my kids move to a new room?

What are options for my family on weeks we serve?

For families who will be at multiple services due to their volunteer role, we offer our Volunteer KIDS Rooms. Kids will attend their regular class first and then attend the Volunteer KIDS environment where they can participate in special activities and foster friendships with other volunteer families! Check with your KIDS Campus Staff to find out which ages and services these special rooms are being offered at your campus.

At Substance KIDS, we believe that each child is fearfully and wonderfully made and therefore has unique needs to thrive in this world. In light of that, we are prepared to help make your child’s transition into KIDS a smooth one – no matter what his or her needs are!
