Lead Pastors Peter & Carolyn Haas
Peter and Carolyn Haas are the lead pastors of Substance Church, an arts-oriented church in Minneapolis, MN which they planted in 2004 after a decade of pastoring in Wisconsin. Known for their global influence in church leadership and church planting, both Carolyn and Peter serve on the lead team of the ARC (the Association of Related Churches). Peter, with a background as a rave DJ, had a life-changing encounter with God in a nightclub that led him into full time ministry. An author and multi-talented musician, Peter spends his free time creating music in his recording studio. Carolyn, passionate about leadership, parenting, and marriage, also serves on the executive team at Substance and the board of One Hope. She enjoys family time, often sipping coffee at local breakfast spots, or hunting for online deals. Peter and Carolyn live in Minneapolis with their three children, continuing to inspire and equip leaders across the globe.
Executive Pastor Nate Puccini
Nate Puccini is the Executive Pastor of Substance Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He serves with lead Pastors Peter and Carolyn Haas on the Executive Leadership Team and oversees the staff and all ministries at Substance. Nate has a heart for the local church and is passionate about developing, encouraging, and pouring into pastors all over the world. Nate has been on staff since 2013 and before that he served on Substance's Trustee Board for 2 years. Prior to coming on staff at Substance, Nate ran a successful business of 17 cell phone stores with over 200 employees. Nate and his wife, Jess, live in Minneapolis with their two children. They all love to travel and spend time together, making memories as a family.
